Training Opportunities

  • Counseling and Discipleship Training at College Park Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The training is over three weekends: June 20 & 21; July 11 & 12; August 1 & 2.  Garrett and Robb are scheduled to speak on the June and August dates. More information is available at www.yourchurch.com (look under 2008  Event Information).
  • Counseling and Discipleship Training at Grace Fellowship Church in Florence, Kentucky.   The training is over three weekends: September 12 & 13; October 17 & 18; November 14 & 15.  Garrett is scheduled to speak on the November dates.  More information will be available soon at www.graceky.org.
  • The NANC annual biblical counseling conference is being held in St. Louis, Missouri on October 6-8.  Garrett and Scott are scheduled to attend the conference.  More information is available at www.nanc.org
  • The CCEF annual counseling conference is being held in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania on November 14-16.  Robb is scheduled to attend the conference.  More information is available at www.ccef.org.

    Christian Counseling & Education Foundation (CCEF) offers an annual conference usually held in November. Each year they tackle a different topic with their conference. They also offer training at their facility on a regular basis. You can find extremely helpful resources in the books, articles and pamphlets being produced by CCEF and their staff as they address relevant life issues in a way that is Christ-centered and a great blend of grace and truth.     Faith Baptist Counseling Ministries – Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette, IN has been annually holding a very helpful week long trainings for those interested in Biblical counseling (held every 2nd week in February). As a church they have developed a sound biblical counseling ministry, are continually growing in the sensitivity and quality of training they produce. They are on the cutting edge of community ministry. They have produced a good video training series to help the lay counselor and other helpful literature.     National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC) – Is an organization that provides a structured training certification process in efforts to promote excellence in Biblical counseling. They are constantly improving their resources and teaching materials. They also hold training events in multiple cities across the United States throughout the year.
