Twelve Stones Ministries (TSM) would like to announce a formal partnership with Harvest Bible Chapel located in Elgin, IL. I can remember several years ago praying to God that He would open up opportunities with the local church to partner with Twelve Stones to make the mission of returning soul care a reality. We even mentioned Harvest by name as one of those churches after listening to a series by Dr James MacDonald as a small group of men. The timing and specific response to that prayer has been powerful. Dr. James MacDonald and his leadership contacted us near the end of 2008 regarding our mission to return soul care to the church, and how they desired to see a counseling ministry like Twelve Stones become part of their church culture. Since that original conversation, they have demonstrated an unmatched commitment to biblical soul care for the local church and expanding the original vision of TSM.
The Higbee family and Rhonda Garrison will be relocating to Elgin, IL to develop a model of soul care within Harvest Bible Chapel. Over time it is our hope and intent that this model will be able to be replicated in other churches throughout the country while the Brown County campus will continue to provide excellent soul care through intensive counseling and advocate training.
So as you can see this is not a diversion from our mission but a fulfillment of it. It is an answer to the prayers of the saints that have been lifted up for over ten years. TSM has always believed that the local church is the place for long-term care and growth. As you watch this interview with James MacDonald, I hope you will ask what role you might serve and join with us as God continues to expand the vision of Twelve Stones Ministries. Thank you so much for your interest and ongoing support.
Dr. Garrett Higbee
President, Twelve Stones Ministries
