We believe that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. All of Scripture points toward Christ and is useful for growth in Christ likeness which should be our goal.
We believe there is only one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe God, as Father, reigns over His entire universe with providential care. He is all-powerful, all-loving, all-knowing, and all-wise. He is fatherly in attitude toward all men but is Father, indeed, to those who have become children of God through Jesus Christ, who will deliver them into the Father’s hands.
We believe God spoke the universe into existence out of nothing as a result of His will to display His eternal power and divine nature. His general revelation makes it clear for all mankind that God exists. However, God has also granted us special revelation through the Bible so that we may know Him and obey His will. While affirming the significance of God’s special revelation, there are still things we can learn through general revelation that ought not to be dismissed, even though special revelation rightly understood has final authority in the life of the Christian.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who humbled himself taking on the form of a man by means of the virgin birth, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on a cross, making atonement for our sins, was resurrected from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of God, interceding for believers. All who repent of their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Promise of the Father, our comforter, sent to convict the world of sin, places the believer in the Body of Christ, illuminates the Word, and indwells the believer for works of service to the Church.
We believe man was created in the image of God, but as a result of sin this image has been marred but not lost. Through redemption in Jesus Christ we can progressively grow more and more into the likeness of God and thus more closely reflect His image.
We believe that while salvation is all of grace, those who are genuinely born again become new creatures in Christ and will show evidence of salvation through good fruit, the most obvious being a love for God and other people.
We believe the church is the community of all believers in Jesus Christ and is an essential element in the growth of all Christians. As a result, we desire to see all believers actively involved in a local church for the purpose of worshipping God, sharing life together, and living out the one another commands of Scripture. We further believe it is God’s design for all believers to live under the authority of a local church and their body of elders.
We believe marriage is the original and foundational institution of human society, established by God as a one flesh, covenantal union between one man and one woman that is to be life long, exclusive, and is to reflect Jesus Christ and His love for the church.
